Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information Plan-it Kitchens and Bedrooms collects through this website, what we do with it, who else handles it and the choices you have. If anything isn’t clear, just ask us.
Who we are
Plan-it Kitchens and Bedrooms is a trading name of SL Fittings Limited (company number 10376601), which runs this website. Our address is Unit 15, Kent Street Mill, Kent Street, Blackburn BB1 1DE. Under data protection law we’re the “controller” of the information described here, which means we decide how it’s used.
To ask anything about your information, email info@planitkitchens.co.uk or call 01254 427310.
What we collect
- Enquiries. The details you enter in the contact form: your name, phone number, address, the kind of project and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email, phone or message.
- Technical information. Your device’s IP address and browser details, which every website receives when it delivers a page.
We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health details, so please don’t send it.
The contact form
Your enquiry is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a service that turns website forms into emails. Like any online service, it also receives your device’s IP address when the form is sent, and handles it under its own privacy policy. Our email is provided by Google (Google Workspace).
The form has simple checks against spam. They don’t collect anything extra about you.
We use your details only to reply to you, arrange your free design consultation, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.
Sending your enquiry on WhatsApp
Send on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp, which is run by Meta, with your enquiry typed out ready to send to our WhatsApp number. It reaches us when you press send there. Your use of WhatsApp is covered by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
When you use Send on WhatsApp, the form also emails us a copy of your enquiry through Web3Forms, even if you don’t press send in WhatsApp.
Visiting the website
- Hosting. Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it handles technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
- Images and content. Photos and page content are delivered by Sanity, the system we use to manage the site, so your browser fetches them from Sanity’s servers, which see your IP address in the same way. We don’t put any visitor information into Sanity.
- No tracking. We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don’t build profiles of visitors.
Links to other services, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Google Maps, take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Why we use it
Data protection law calls these our “lawful basis”:
- Answering your enquiry and doing the work you ask for: taking the steps you’ve asked for before a contract, and then carrying out that contract.
- Running a working, secure website and keeping out spam: our legitimate interests.
- Keeping records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records: our legal obligations.
Who else handles your information
We don’t sell your information or share it for marketing. Apart from where the law requires us to share it, the only other organisations involved are:
- Cloudflare: website hosting
- Sanity: website content and images
- Web3Forms: delivering form emails
- Google: our email
- Meta: WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us that way
Outside the UK
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. They do so under their own safeguards for international transfers, set out in their terms and privacy policies.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries (form, email and messages): up to 12 months after our last contact with you.
- If you become a customer: a record of the job for as long as we need it for any guarantee on the work and for our tax and accounting records.
- Our service providers keep their own records, such as security logs, for limited periods under their own terms.
Keeping it safe
We use established providers and keep your details to the people who need them to deal with your enquiry or job. No website, email or messaging service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please don’t send anything sensitive beyond what we need.

We don’t make decisions about you by automated means.
